Candidates should be detail oriented and able to work independently preparing and coating various components in accordance with company quality standards, customer requirements, mil-spec and operating procedures.
* Safely perform preparation, painting, and detailing operations of coating components under minimal supervision. Coordinate with supervision and inspection to ensure compliance to NADCAP/AS9100 requirements, sign-offs and quality specifications.
* Promote high standards of quality through instruction and by setting a good example for others to follow.
* Follow instructions and communicate with issues with supervisors and fellow workers.
Follow standard and common sense operating procedures when using equipment, chemicals, etc.
* High School diploma and/or equivalent experience
* Two (2) years experience in related processes/industry (aerospace preferred, industrial and autobody considered)
Knowledgeable in:
* proper use of HVLP spray equipment including cleaning/assembly, paint processes and products (enamels, epoxies, urethanes, etc), controlling coating thickness (electronic thickness measurement meters) and application methods to minimize rework and non-conformances.
Other qualifications/requirements
* Able to read, speak and understand English fluently.
* Must be able to stand for long periods and lift at least 40lbs.
* Computer literate a plus (use of the electronic job tracking and inventory system).
* Read and interpret blue prints a plus.
